Oftentimes our informational videos are about the construction process or what a school looks like once it has been completed and students and teachers are utilizing the spaces to bring learning to life. This video takes a deep dive into the initial phase of development with the architects where the building starts simply as an idea on paper.
“Putting a building together is really one giant puzzle,” said Caitlin Gilman, Senior Associate at FFKR Architects and Project Manager of the Bountiful High CTE Project. “It’s a joint effort to deliver a product that the students deserve, but at the same time balancing taxpayer dollars.”
In the video, architects from VCBO Architects and FFKR Architects share the process they go through to design our schools and our learning spaces.
“One of the most important things we do is to support student learning through design,” said Jeanne Jackson, Principal Architect at VCBO Architects. “We think about what kind of experience the students have.”
Davis School District would like to thank the community and the voters for approving the construction and remodeling of many schools and facilities.
“Without the bond that was passed in 2022, we wouldn’t be able to provide these incredible learning spaces for our students,” said Davis School District Facilities Administrator Weston Weekes.
